My brother Harvey (Pam) Cowley, class of 1970 passed away 10/18/08

Harvey Palmer Cowley, Jr., age 56, went home to be with his Lord October 18, 2008.  Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Harvey P. Cowley, Sr.  He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Cowley, her two children; his siblings, Jo Ann (Pat) Jarrell, Jr. of Mineola, Texas, Bill Hulsey of Arlington, Texas,  Judy  (Jerry) Barnes, of Birmingham, and Cathy Cowley, of Birmingham.  He is also survived by his god-child, Kalyn Hodges and her mother, Wendy, who were very special to him.  Harvey loved life, and gallantly fought cancer and its bitter side affects of the treatments.  He maintained an upbeat attitude during his long-fought battle for life, while inspiring those around him. 

 
Harvey grew up in Bessemer, Alabama, and graduated High School there.  He was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church, Bessemer, Alabama.    Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, followed by a Memorial Service there at 2:00
